Nadezhda Pavlova was born in Cheboksary in 1956. She studied at the Perm Ballet School and before her graduation she won Grand Prix in the Second International Ballet
Competition in Moscow 1973. She danced in Perm 1974-75 and joined Bolshoi Ballet as soloist in 1975.
She made her Bolshoi debut in Giselle partnering V. Gordeyev, whom she also married the very same day.
Repertoire includes: Coppelia, Nutcracker, Giselle, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet.
