Asta Bazeviciúte Biography
Notable: Birmingham Royal Ballet
Asta Bazeviciúte was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. She trained at the Minsk State Choreography College. She danced with the Latvian National Opera (1997/98) and the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (1998/2002), dancing Odette/Odile (Swan Lake), Giselle and Myrtha (Giselle), Sylphide (La Sylphide) and Aurora (The Sleeping Beauty). She joined Birmiungham Royal Ballet as a Soloist in 2002 and was promoted to Principal in 2003. In the short while Asta has been with the BRB, her performances in Arthur, Western Symphony, Concert Fantasy, The Sleeping Beauty and others have marked her out as an outstanding and valuable addition to BRB’s ranks.
