Letizia Giuliani was born in Rome in 1980. She studied at the Rome Opera Theatre Dance School where she graduated in the 1998. In the same year she joined Rome Opera Ballet, performing in leading roles such as: G. Balanchine’s Who cares?, Apollo, A. Amodio’s Romeo e Giulietta, Schiaccianoci, Coppelia, A. Ailey’s Escapade, A. Gade’s Bodas de sangre, J. Limon’s There is a time, Grigorovich’s Spartacus, Paquita and R. Petit’s Tout Satie.
In 2001 she joined Maggiodanza, where she was promoted to principal in 2003 by Florence Clerc a scena aperta. Her repertory includes the leading roles in R. Petit’s Proust ou les intermittences du Coeur, E. Polyakov’s Giselle, R. Hynd’s The Merry Widow, C. Jude’s Coppelia, A. Amodio’s Carmen and L’après midi d’un faune, G. Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco and Serenade, M. Fokine’s Les Sylphides, W. Forsythe’s The Vertiginus Thrill of Exactitude, J. Neumeier’s Le Sacre du Printemps, L. Childs’s Firebird, new creation for Maggiodanza. She created the leading role in Gheorghe Iancu’s works Donne and Sheherazade. She also created the title role in Iancu’s ballets for the operas Thais and Les pecheurs de perles by Pier Luigi Pizzi for Gran Teatro La Fenice, Venice.
She has been invited as a guest at international festivals and galas in Madrid, Bilbao, Valencia, Stockolm, Spoleto, Todi, Caserta, Udine and in other italian cities. In these years she has danced with Igor Yebra, Massimo Murru, Roberto Bolle, Umberto De Luca, Alessio Carbone, Alessandro Molin, Josè Perez and Gheorghe Iancu.
