Martine van Hamel Biography
Notable: Born 1945; American Ballet Theatre
Martine van Hamel was 1945 in Brussels. She is Dutch and studied in Denmark, Netherlands, Venezuela and Toronto. Joined the National Ballet of Canada in 1963 and the American Ballet Theatre in 1970. Martine van Hamel’s technique, musicality and majestic presence was perfect for the classical repertory.
