Tina Højlund Biography
Notable: Born 1972; Royal Danish Ballet
Tina Højlund was born in 1972 and trained at the Ballet School of the Royal Theatre. She became apprentice in 1989, and in 1991 ballet dancer at the Royal Danish Ballet, where she was appointed principal in 1998.
Tina Højlund has danced a number of soloist roles with the Royal Danish Ballet including Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Teresina in Napoli, Ella in Legs of Fire, Kitri in Don Quixote and Eleonora in The Kermesse in Bruges. Further she has danced major roles in Mahler’s Fifth Symhpony, Fearful Symmetries, Suite en Blanc, Nomade, Gaité Parisienne, A Lovers tale, Flower Festival in Genzano, Dødens Triumf and The Concert.
